The MXV4 carries a 60, mile tread warranty, while the MXM4 comes with either a 45, mile or 55, mile warranty depending on speed rating. It would be hard to go wrong with either of these tires. We would say that if wet traction is important to you, the MXM4 makes an excellent choice. I also have a Lincoln MKZ. Tires have tread separation and tread blocks missing. Tires worn almost to the wear bars.
The first set of tires never last. There are better deals than Michelin out there. Do your research. BTW, tire warrantees from Dealers and tire manufacturers are prorated IF they support your claim and honor there written policy.
It takes a lot of work and phone calls to get that prorated discount. You have to jump through hoops to get satisfaction and in the end your are still going to pay full price for new tires. Michelin claims this tire can handle the highway and regular streets with equal efficiency. Unlike most touring tires the Michelin Primacy MXM4 features round shoulders which enable its outstanding handling ability. To prevent hydroplaning, it features four wide circumferential grooves and 3-D Variable Thickness Sipe Technology, further boosting its traction with extra biting edges.

It achieves this thanks to Michelin's Comfort Control Technology. This technology uses a combination of computer-optimized tread design and precision manufacturing methods to minimize road noise and vibration.
The Michelin Primacy also features tread wear indicators. These indicators are crucial for safety because they show the driver how much tread depth is left for driving on wet and snowy surfaces while maintaining an optimal level of safety. The Michelin Primacy MXM4 justifies all of the praise it is receiving and has been receiving since it was released on the market around 10 years ago. Michelin went out of their way and created a tire that is still the yardstick for touring all season tires.
It may have a higher price tag, but it certainly seems to be worth every penny. It has kept a high standard of performance and safety for all this time for good reason. Michelin Primacy MXM4 tire is designed and built to satisfy even the most discerning vehicle owner.

The problem is…. They handle well, ride great, and are super quiet. The Defender and Primacy tires are geared toward passenger cars, crossovers and minivans.
