Matthew EBenedetti. I am having the same problem with the HTC Surround. I got Mango, and since then have not been able to complete any of the updates the marketplace lists for me. I frequently am getting errors that say my network connection is too slow, prompting me to connect my phone to zune to see if an update is available which one isn't again I am on Mango.
I have tried resetting my phone, power cyclying my router, uninstalling the apps from my phone and getting them directly from the phone, from zune, and from the web based marketplace and they all ultimately wind up suffering the same fate. I will get download progress for about 5 minutes initially, and then get the dreaded "tap here" alert. Cookies are enabled and always have been. The only thing I have not tried to this point is a hard reset, as well as reverting back to a pre mango state.

Are the apps that are failing to update trial or paid versions? What are the exact apps that are failing to update?
Are you using the update all button or are you trying to update the apps individually? What operating system is your computer running? What version of the Zune software are you running? The apps that are failing are all paid versions, no trials 2. Once the updates started failing, I would cancel downloads and select them individually.
After that failed, I uninstalled the apps and reinstalled them individually through all of the available options, zune on PC, Zune on the phone, and through the web based marketplace. Phone OS: 7.
Again I really appreciate the prompt response regarding this issue, it really helps with the embracing of a new phone platform especially with a major update. In reply to Matthew EBenedetti's post on October 6, Here is an update for the Hard Reset: Hard Reset has not repaired the issue, however it did help determine the problem.
The problem is with the Wifi. When I began to download all of my apps, and games, many were failing with the same variation of errors but primarily the error stating my network connection was too slow, when I disabled the wifi and downloaded all of the apps not requiring a wifi connection, they installed no problem.
