This just bugged me so much. I remembered the title track being OK, but I wasn't too impressed. Everything they do seems to be a tragic disappointment. Like they are trying to be catchy with parts that aren't all that fun to sing. Their guitarist, Michael Padget is really fucking talented so I usually like their riffs, but once Matt Tuck sings I usually just get bummed out and either try a different track just hoping maybe it magically clicks and I will like them.
It feels like all filler no killer. Like the band is good enough, but the good parts were taken out. I end up feeling like I am violently bludgeoning myself with their music just going insane windering why I don't like it. I actually thought their new single was pretty good. It was a ballsy change at least. Who knows maybe I will like them magically in the future. Why the fuck do I want to like them so bad when I just really don't? I haven't even bashed on Fever outside of the one awful song.
Well just hold on we are getting there. There might not be an album I have a deeper, stronger or more pure love for than Scream Aim Fire. Several albums might tie it, but this is among the best sounds in the entire history if the world. Scream Aim Fire is something I could almost have written an entire book about how deep my love goes. Fever I did not like as much, but it was still so good. It had 2 songs I skipped every time, but I loved and own both of these albums. It all started with The Poison.
I immediatelly fell into absolute obsession. I have seen so many tour videos. The coolest new heavy metal band from the UK set for world domination. Bullet For My Valentine. A band from Brigend, Wales.
Their main genre is Metalcore, however they do pull from some Emocore. Their guitar is very metalish, and they have some really nice riffs. Their songs contain a lot of screaming, so if you don't like that type of singing, don't listen to them. They are very good live, and put on a great show.
At a concert It ain't emo, not heavy, not even hardcore. One of the best bands I've heard yet. They aren't emo, that's gotta be the most stupid label I've heard for their music yet. Thunder Road is about escaping home, not because you hate it, but because the odds are stacked against you — I had that drive and ambition, too.
