If you want to hear a small snippet of a new song, go to kanyewest. You know, I think that's pretty smart. It's original and it's about the music, not the fluff around it. I think a lot of people are going to end up hating this album but I'm glad Kanye is continuing to innovate his sounds. Each album has a different feel too it. Artists that constantly reinvent themselves are the ones that you keep talking about 20 years after they are relevant anymore.
Kanye is one of those guys for Hip-Hop and Rap. I do not know anyone who even buys physical CD's anymore. This won't really effect people I know or myself. Dude find's out he is having a kid with Kim Kardashian and then goes out and makes his angriest sounding album. What is an "album"? Is that what those collections of songs are called on Spotify? Cause I usually just hit the Pandora button. Which is called "radio" for some reason. No problem with it even though I still buy physical albums.
Just hope it's near dark twisted or s in quality. I wish he would bring the bear back, but I don't see it ever happening. As for this no cover thing, I couldn't care less.
I don't buy music for its album cover. I've always liked Kanye. His marriage to Kim makes my head hurt. For a man who has always said MtV is a joke, he's now married to a joke.
What exactly looks tight? The fact that it's a blank cd in a plastic sleeve? I literally just bought a rap CD off a guy in Central Park that looks exactly like this. As egotistical as it may seem Kanye West has unveiled the extremely simplistic album artwork for his forthcoming record Yeezus which is set to be released on June 18, See the image below.
The new album looks set to come without a cover, artwork or booklet as an image of a CD in a clear case, bound with a piece of red tape can be found of West's official website along with a short sample from the album itself. The rapper's promotional campaign has gathered pace recently with a series of huge projections of his single 'New Slaves' across buildings in cities across the globe, but West has kept quiet about the overall theme of the new record.
The new cover differs from the gold image which was leaked by West's girlfriend, Kim Kardashian before he performed on Saturdat Night Live recently. It has been rumoured that West had to scrap the orginal artwork as he wanted to keep people guessing and wasn't aware Kardashian would post the image.
The confirmed lack of cover art for Kanye West's Yeezus album. Beats Per Minute recently claimed that an unnamed source sent them a photograph of what looks like the offical iTunes tracklist for West new album and includes big name artists such as Tyler, The Creator, John Legend, Frank Ocean and James Blake amonsgt others.
The rapper's lead single 'New Slaves' is featured on the record which looks as though will be 13 tracks long. Doolittle embodying Death because they are both people who pass through multiple planes of existence. The cover has a distinct feeling of distortion with its grey and red colors. The UK release cover of The Kick Inside by ethereal songstress Kate Bush has always been one of my favorite examples of album art, from the moment I first saw it to every time it comes up on my phone to this day.
In the artwork, Bush appears to be exploding out of a watchful eye on a sail of fire, surrounded by swirling Chinoiserie fabric and a title written out in careful calligraphy. If there was anything to describe The Kick Inside , that would be it: strange, yet innovative. I first came across Seek Magic during Mar. What seem to be clouds line the top of the image, while the lower two thirds consist of reflective strips, like inconsistent little pools of oil whose iridescence causes their reflections to be unfaithful replications of reality.
The centerpiece of the cover is plain to see but difficult to describe. The effect is immediate nostalgia at its purest and most intense, and a feeling of space, like walking down an empty street somewhere in coastal Fla..
Lyrics are subdued throughout, and the general mood is one of longing. For me, this has always meant longing for the past, for simplicity and the space to not feel so bad about being lazy. It exists as they exist, certainly there but not quite real, tantalizing and comforting in that I can never quite return to the place I recall, because I was never actually there.
By , Stevie Wonder was a well-established presence in the musical world. Then came Talking Book. The cover encapsulates this perfectly. The album title sits in orange letters beneath a photograph of Wonder, cloaked in a velvet afghan and sitting down among a dry landscape of brush, examining a dusty ground. Any good album cover should do justice to the creativity and significance of the album it accompanies, just as any good album should have a decent cover to go with it. He is sensitive and thoughtful; he is himself, and a new version of himself, at that.
My first time listening to the album in full was during my daily commute from home to campus, where I was taking classes for the summer. Most of the albums I listen to are black and red, not just in color scheme, but also in tone.
